tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 of 1976. He was raised in Southern California and attended Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both the basketball and football teams. Gonzalez excelled in these games during his time at the University of California. He led the team in football to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he broke the record of the school bowl by catching nine times. Gonzalez also led the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament a few weeks after. He left college to join the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs chose Gonzalez as the thirteenth overall pick. Gonzalez was playing for the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. The Chiefs sold Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. In Gonzalez's second NFL year, he caught more than 59 passes per season.
