Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and died 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television and voice actor. 1 Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then began to appear in films in the late 1950s. She later appeared in prominent films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). In later years, she was a part of numerous television shows and was often as a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 in which she won several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of her were Jewish, the descendants of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
