Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. She has been a professional actor for the past 27 years. Her career began in the year 1990 with an Off-Broadway performance in The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. In The Perfect Tribute, she played her first role in a TV show a year after. In 1992, she was cast as an actor supporting the character the movie Basic Instinct. This marked her first major success in her career. It was in the movie The Firm however that she was cast as the leading female character for the very first time, and this was also against stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, her work included working alongside top Hollywood stars such as Gwyneth on Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews Relative Values. She was Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural thriller Criminal Minds.

Not only did she not win but in 2007, Aldila Junior Classic, which made her the second youngest player to win this competition. In addition to being one of the youngest American Junior Golf Association, (AJGA) winner of the championship that year and also being the youngest player to be awarded the Westfield Junior PGA Championship.
